Our gastronomic proposal is inspired by the landscape of countryside, sea, and mountains of the Costa Brava, with recipes of Mediterranean essence. Our dishes are simple yet full of flavor, crafted with fresh and natural ingredients of the highest quality, most of which are directly harvested from our orchard and garden. Ecology and sustainability are fundamental at Mas Generós. We collaborate with local producers, maintaining a symbiotic relationship with our garden, nurturing and feeding the land to yield its finest fruits. In the kitchen of Mas Generós, culinary art finds its most exquisite expression under the gastronomic direction of Iolanda Bustos, the flower chef. Born in Empordà, Iolanda blends her knowledge of traditional and avant-garde cuisine to create recipes that allow you to savor the authentic flavors of the region. Alongside Amàlia Subiranas, the house chef, they lead a passionate team that translates the beauty of the landscape into every dish. Be amazed by our Mediterranean gastronomic proposal and discover a biodynamic kitchen connected to the rhythm of the surrounding nature.

The restaurant

Our restaurant is located within the hotel, at the heart of Mas Generós. The charming main hall, with a cozy and naturally lit atmosphere, is designed with noble materials that reflect an elegant rural simplicity. The hall features an open kitchen where breakfasts are served, and often hosts both public and private cooking workshops.

For special occasions and private celebrations, the upper-floor hall offers a cozy and exclusive ambiance, also serving as the venue for our Musical Nights featuring prominent artists.

The dining area extends to the terrace on sunny days, providing a serene outdoor space where you can enjoy the open air amidst the sounds of birdsong and the gentle murmur of the garden fountains. You can sit beneath the shade of the olive tree or the wisteria-covered pergola. The garden also transforms into the backdrop for intimate and private gastronomic experiences, courtesy of the private services offered by Chef Iolanda Bustos.

During the low season, our restaurant operates from Thursday to Sunday, and every day during the busier months. Due to our limited capacity, we recommend making a reservation.

Experience a private cooking class. Take a stroll with Iolanda through the garden and orchard, gather flowers and vegetables with her for your menu, designed according to your preferences. Later, savor the meal paired with the finest wines from Empordà.

Exploring the flavors of nature

Learn the various culinary properties of nature. Explore our garden and orchard in the company of Iolanda, who will teach you the different gastronomic uses of plants and flowers. She will also conduct a recipe demonstration that you can taste afterward.

Botanical sensory tasting

Immerse yourself in a sensory botanical experience. Explore the aromatic world of extra virgin olive oils paired with delicious tapas and savor the herbs and flowers that give personality to the wines of Empordà.

Gastronomic stroll

Would you like to live an enriching experience that combines nature and cuisine in a unique way? Once a month, come and discover the magic of plants in gastronomy with Iolanda. Join her in our garden and gather botanical ingredients while learning about their characteristics. Later, discover how to integrate them into traditional dishes.

Possibility to continue the experience with a à la carte meal, based on local and proximity products, at the Mas Generós restaurant.

We offer a balanced and healthy breakfast buffet prepared with organic, seasonal, and locally sourced products, produced on our own estate whenever possible. You can enjoy our breakfast in the kitchen, just like at home, or out in the soft sun that reaches our courtyard every morning.
