The flower chef

We are delighted to have Iolanda Bustos, from the Empordà and known as “the flower chef”, as culinary director of the Mas Generós restaurant. Her deep knowledge of the local land, seasonal produce, ancestral traditions and, above all, flowers, makes our garden cuisine a different and unforgettable experience.

It’s common to see Iolanda strolling through our garden with her basket full of flowers, aromatic herbs, vegetable shoots and wild fruit. You might also find her cooking in the spectacular ‘Terra i Foc’ space at the far end of the garden, overseeing the kitchen team’s daily work, or creating custom menus for the events we host at Mas Generós. Author of books such as Cuinar amb Flors (Cooking with Flowers), our restaurant offers the chance to taste her recipes made with flowers and vegetables she herself has grown in the garden, plus other creations following biodynamic principles, such as her famous elderflower champagne.
